Dr. Patrick Saurel earned his medical degree in 1985, followed by his specialist certificate in ophthalmology in 1989. He has been in practice since 1990, after completing a one-year fellowship in retinal diseases and surgery. Additionally, he has maintained a refractive surgery practice since 1994.
His commitment to continuing education is recognized by the Royal College and the American Board (receiving the International Ophthalmologist Education Award in 2007). Since 2002, he has participated in numerous clinical research studies on retinal diseases.
He joined the team at Bellevue Clinics in 2021.
