Dr. Gilles Lafond is a renowned ophthalmologist who completed his studies at Université Laval and the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston. Drawing on his extensive experience, he was an active member of the Centre Universitaire d’Ophtalmologie de Québec until 2018, before joining the Bellevue Ophthalmology Clinic in Quebec City.
A pioneer in the field of eye surgery in Canada, Dr. Lafond has performed more than 10,000 cataract surgeries and over 40,000 laser procedures to correct vision disorders such as myopia (nearsightedness) and astigmatism. Notably, in 1993, he founded the first laser vision correction clinic in the province of Quebec.
