The procedure: what to expect?
The EVO ICL is made from a biocompatible Collamer material that works in harmony with your eye. Your ophthalmologist will create a small opening in your cornea that will be used to insert and position the EVO ICL in front of your eye’s natural lens. For most patients, the procedure is virtually painless thanks to anesthetic eye drops, and it typically lasts less than 20 to 30 minutes.

What Exactly is an EVO ICL lens?

Is the procedure painful?

Is the procedure reversible?

Does the EVO ICL cause dry eyes?
No. Because the EVO ICL does not involve removing or reshaping corneal tissue, it does not disrupt the corneal nerves responsible for tear production. This makes it an ideal option for patients who already suffer from dry eye syndrome.
Is the lens visible to others?
No. The lens is placed behind the iris (the colored part of the eye), making it completely invisible to both you and anyone looking at you. Only an eye doctor using specialized equipment would be able to see that it is there.
Can I play sports after the procedure?
Yes, but it is usually recommended to wait a few days. While you can return to light activities almost immediately, you should avoid high-impact sports, swimming, or heavy lifting for a short period as advised by your surgeon to ensure proper healing.

The EVO Visian ICL lens is intended to correct/reduce myopia between -3.0D and -20.0D and treat astigmatism from 1.0D to 4.0D. If you have myopia within these ranges, EVO Visian ICL surgery may improve your distance vision without glasses or contact lenses. Because EVO Visian ICL corrects distance vision, it does not eliminate the need for reading glasses; you may need them at some point, even if you have never worn them before. Since EVO Visian ICL implantation is a surgical procedure, before considering this surgery, you should have a complete eye examination and discuss EVO Visian ICL surgery with your eye care professional, especially the potential benefits, risks, and complications. You should discuss the time required for healing after the procedure. Complications, while rare, may include the need for additional surgical procedures, inflammation, loss of cells from the posterior surface of the cornea, increased eye pressure, and cataracts.
