Dry Eye Treatment Clinic
The dry eye treatment clinic is available within the Bellevue clinics and is a specialized service for dry eyes offered by our optometrists.
What Happens During Your Appointment With Your Optometrist?
During your first visit, you will have to fill out a form to help your optometrist identify your needs. Then, you will have to take four diagnostic exams in order to fully understand your situation.
Diagnostic Exams
Osmolarity Test
Performed from an electronic diagnostic device for measuring osmolarity (concentration of dissolved salts in a solution).
Meibomian Gland Scan
Eyelid scan that helps visualize meibomian gland health with optimal accuracy. To properly control a patient's dry eye, constant monitoring and long-term treatments are usually required. By choosing dry eye clinics, the patient is assured of having the best possible care, as well as a rigorous follow-up.
Corneal Topography
Allows you to see the distribution of the tear film on the cornea. It is also a visual aid to explain the state of the tear film to the patient.
