Phthisis Bulbis

Phthisis bulbi, or atrophy of the eye, is the terminal stage of several serious eye pathologies. When phthisis bulbi occurs, the eye becomes soft and often painful. No longer being functional, an enucleation (removal of the eye) is then necessary.

You should know that Bellevue clinics have all the latest technologies available to diagnose and monitor phthisis bulbis cases.
